Our Guided Meditation sessions are held online or during the day, or after school, at our studio in Browns Bay on Auckland's North Shore.
Mindfulness Wisdom
Poppy has spent her whole life as a practicing Buddhist, where her daily routine includes meditation – several times a day actually!
Poppy has gained the mental discipline needed for successful meditation and productive self-awareness directly from several renowned monks in Thailand. She has spent considerable time in temples and by doing so has been able to indulge herself in constant self-study.
Certification
Acquire Wisdom New Zealand offers 8-week certificated courses in Guided Meditation:
· Introduction
· Proficiency
· Confidence
Which is followed by a series of Self-Awareness in Guided Meditation sessions.
Mindfulness Teacher
Poppy’s life experiences set her up well for teaching Mindfulness for 4 years at an international school in Thailand, where she collaborated with her husband, Stuart, in creating a rich theme-based Mindfulness curriculum.
This curriculum was differentiated for students from pre-school to Year 13 and it was also adapted for weekly sessions with academic staff as part of an ongoing professional development programme.
One morning each week Poppy offered an open-house Mindfulness session for parents too. Although all programmes were run in English, these sessions were well attended by Thai parents, which meant Poppy delivered it in both English and in Thai.
